Our Material

We use Grade 6A Premium Mulberry Silk as our key source of the material. Silk is a natural fiber known as the “Queen of Fibers", besides its sheen, softness, and luster, silk contains 18 kinds of amino acids that are beneficial to the human body, such as helping ease hot flashes, preventing the effects of aging, improve sleep, and relieve certain skin conditions. And is also known as "the second skin".

OEKO-TEX® Certified

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world’s best-known labels for textile raw materials, intermediate and end products (at all stages of production) tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety. No matter whether beddings or sleepwear, most of SusanSilk's products own the OEKO certification and are safe and healthy for your skin.

Today, the fashion industry accounts for 10% of global carbon emissions. It also accounts for a fifth of the 300 million tons of plastic produced each year globally. Garments made from polyester and other synthetic fibers are a prime source of microplastic pollution, which is especially harmful to marine life.

At SusanSilk, we believe that we together can make a difference, toward a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle.

Power by Nature

Silk is considered a more sustainable fiber. It is a biodegradable fiber that only takes 1 to 5 years to decompose, which is x50 times faster than synthetic materials. It is a renewable resource that uses less water, chemicals, and energy than many other fibers.

Buy Smarter, Buy Better

Investing in better products is a good way to reduce waste. Our items are both fashionable and classical, they can be styled into diverse looks and therefore worn more frequently. They are made with premium natural silk material only, by our craftsmen who take care of every detail, and can be used for a long time to reduce waste.
